We started manufacturing ice in 1976. In the beginning, our operation produced only block ice for the Klang Valley market. Today, we have five ice-manufacturing facilities in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Port Klang, Pontian and Johor Baru that produce tube ice, flake ice, and block ice.
Tube Ice Block Ice Our total daily production capacity for block ice is 450 metric tons, while that for tube ice is 300 metric tons. The plants in Port Klang and Pontian produce block ice for markets in Klang Valley and southern states of the Peninsular respectively, while all the other plants, as well as the Port Klang plant, produce tube ice. Currently, we are the leading supplier of block ice in the Klang Valley. Our block ice comes in various sizes, from 150 pound to 300 pound each. Typical users of our block ice are: q Fishermen q Perishable food wholesalers q Food outlets (hotel, restaurants, eateries, hawker stalls, etc) q Ice sculptors (for decorations at hotel functions) q Theme parks q Entertainment industry (for props) q Construction industry (for curing of cement) We sell pre-packed tube ice in plastic bags of 18kg and 2.5kg each. Some of the end-users of our tube ice are: q Restaurants q Coffee shops q Pubs q Convenience stores q Petrol kiosk q Supermarkets q Hawker stalls
